"All Love, All Woodstock", a benefit for the ACLU and Constance McMillen, will be held at the beautiful, historic Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY on June 25th 2010. The Bearsville Theater was conceptualized by music visionary Albert Grossman and built by his widow in the late 1980's. Check out the full story here.
The Bearsville Theater is now co-owned and operated by Woodstock native Peter Cantine, who immediately volunteered the theater for "All Love, All Woodstock" once he heard the benefit was for an ACLU-backed cause.
The ACLU is "very close to my heart," says Cantine. "I, too, was discriminated against by my school district, and I, too, with ACLU backing, too, sued the district and won, too. In my case it was for being kicked off the football team because of the length of my hair," he added.
Doors open at 7 p.m. on June 25th for "All Love, All Woodstock, " with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from many of the area's fine restaurants including Joshua's, Oriole 9, Bistro to Go, Wittenberg Store Catering, The Peekamoose Restaurant and Lucky Chocolates.
A select, high-end live auction will follow, conducted by celebrity auctioneer Barry Cherwin.
Auction items will include an "NYC Foodie Lover's Day on the Town" worth nearly $10,000, a Herman Miller Aeron Chair, signed celebrity swag and memorabilia and much, much more.
Then the party kicks into high gear with an array of musical talent including Hudson Valley luminaries, internationally known artists and surprise guests, with our Master-of-Ceremonies, the legendary Murray Hill plus DJs spinning late into the night.
